Algeria will submit Rachid Bouchareb’s Outside The Law (Hors La Loi) as its foreign language contender.

The film receives its North American premiere in Toronto as a special presentation on Sunday [12] and will open in November in North America through Charles S Cohen, Edmondo Schwartz and Steve Scheffer’s new Cohen Media Group.

Outside The Law is a dramatic telling of the Algerian struggle for independence from France after the second world war and premiered in Cannes.

Cohen Media Group plans to release a select number of global titles each year.
