Anant Singh, South Africa's leading producer, is launching a unique contest for the production of his Durban-based company Videovision's new film.

The movie is based on the book Echoes Of Love From Heavens Above, by New York's Mickey Nivelli and Singh is offering a prize of $12,000 (R100,000) for public participation in the script, to adapt the best-selling book.

Echoes Of Love From Heavens Above, is the true-life love story of Lotte Joseph who triumphed over the horrors of the holocaust. The book has become a spiritual handbook for millions. From a total of 123 scenes in the book, contestants will choose five of the best scenes, and five that should be excluded from the movie version.

Singh is widely acknowledged in South Africa as a marketing master and this strategy to stir interest comes as no surprise.
