Oscar-winning animation wunderkindJohn Lasseter, whose directing credits include Toy Story, A Bug's Life and Toy Story 2, will receive the Contribution to Cinematic Imagery Award at the 8thAnnual Art Directors Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Feb 14.

The honour is occasionallygranted to an individual 'whose body of work has richly enhanced thevisual aspects of the movie-going experience'.

Previous winners includeBlake Edwards, Clint Eastwood, Frank Oz and Norman Jewison.

Lasseter oversees all Pixarfilms as the company's executive vice president and served as executiveproducer on Monsters, Inc and thecurrent global hit Finding Nemo.He is developing his fourth feature film.

He won the specialachievement Oscar for Toy Storyin 1986 and shared the best short animated film Oscar with William Reeves for TinToy in 1989.
