Arthouse Films has picked up international rights to Louise Bourgeois: The Spider, The Mistress And The Tangerine by Marion Cajori and Amei Wallach.

Arthouse will introduce the film to buyers at Cannes and will distribute internationally through its output deals with Madman Entertainment in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa and Revolver Entertainment in the UK.

Louise Bourgeois: The Spider, The Mistress And The Tangerine takes a journey inside the life and imagination of legendary sculptor and painter Louise Bourgeois, who at the age of 71 in 1982 became the first woman to be honoured with a major retrospective at New York's Museum Of Modern Art.

'We are extremely proud to represent and distribute this film on Louise Bourgeois, one of our favorite artists whose work is world-renowned,' Arthouse Films' David Koh and Lilly Bright said.

David Koh and Lilly Bright on behalf of Arthouse Films and Curiously Bright Entertainment brokered the deal with George Griffin of The Art Kaleidoscope Foundation, the Estate of Marion Cajori and Wallach.
