BAFTA/LA hasincreased its fellowship at the UCLA School of Theatre, Film and Television tohelp the school reach its $1m funding target for next academic year.

Each yearBAFTA/LA sponsors a UK student studying film and television at UCLA and thepledge was announced at a special breakfast yesterday (Jun 3).

In a statementBAFTA/LA chairman Gary Dartnall said, "Our efforts to provide scholarships forstudents studying film and television is a reflection of our mission tocelebrate and promote excellence in the arts.

"This Fellowshipis certainly one of our most treasured contributions."
