Joe Bateman has joined Rushes Soho Shorts Festival as festival director, effective Feb 19.
'His passion and enthusiasm for film coupled with his invaluable knowledge of managing events will doubtless be the unstoppable combination which pushes Rushes Soho Shorts beyond its limits and enables it to realise its full potential,' said Rushes managing director Joce Capper says. 'I'm delighted that Joe is joining us, he shares the passion and dedication that all the Rushes crew have for the art of filmmaking and nurturing filmmaking talent.'
The event is now in its ninth year. He had recently been working at London members club The Hospital as head of cinema and event programming. He previously was head of special programming and private events at Curzon Cinemas.
