More top names have joined the line-up of this year's Screenwriters Festival, including some of the UK's most senior television execs.

Jane Tranter, controller of BBC Fiction, including BBC Films and ITV director of drama Laura Mackie will both be high-profile speakers at the event in Cheltenham (July 1-3)

Their presence is a further boost to the growing industry credentials of the festival.

Another returning speaker will also be Julian Fellowes, whose latest writing work includes The Young Victoria, which is now in post-production.

Other names already announced for the summer already include Guillermo Del Toro 'Pan's Labyrinth' and 'Hellboy II', and Lucy Prebble 'Secret Diary Of A Call Girl', Deborah Moggach 'Pride and Prejudice' and Peter Kominsky 'The Government Inspector' and 'Britz'.

The Festival's sponsors include South West Screen, Cheltenham Council, Sky, UK Film Council and C4.
