Cate Blanchett will receive the Santa Barbara International Film Festival 2014’s Outstanding Performer Of The Year Award.

The star of Blue Jasmine will collect the honour on February 1 2014.

Blanchett is an Oscar frontrunner for her performance in Woody Allen’s latest film and her credits include Elizabeth, Pushing Tin, The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, Babel, Notes On A Scandal and The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button.

The Santa Barbara International Film Festival runs from January 30-February 9 2014.
