Jorge Camara was voted in as president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) for the 2007-2008 session as members met for the annual election meeting on Tuesday (June 5).

Camara, an HFPA member for 42 years, is serving his fifth term as HFPA president and covers entertainment (print and television) for Mexico and Latin America.

Screen International's US editor Mike Goodridge was elected vice president, while Serge Rakhlin and Meher Tatna were elected executive secretary and treasurer respectively.

The new board of directors comprises Mahfouz Doss (chairman), Armando Gallo, Anke Hofmann, Erkki Kanto, Paz Mata, and Frances Schoenberger (alternates).

The annual HFPA Installation Luncheon to honour the officers and directors will be held later this summer, when the group will makes its annual donations to non-profit organisations and film schools.
