George Miller's animatedmusical Happy Feet, about a tap-dancing Emperor Penguin in theAntarctic, will be released domestically in IMAX 3D day-and-date with itsconventional release through Warner Bros on Nov 17, 2006.

The all-star ensemble voicecast includes Nicole Kidman, Elijah Wood, Robin Williams, Hugh Jackman andBrittany Murphy. Warner Bros holds worldwide rights.

Doug Mitchell, Bill Millerand Miller produced, with Graham Burke and Bruce Berman serving as executiveproducers.

Miller's directing creditsinclude the Babe pictures, Lorenzo's Oil and Mad Max.

"We enjoyed an enthusiasticreception to the release of The Polar Express in the IMAX 3D format lastyear, and, with Happy Feet in IMAX 3D, we look forward to the continuedexpansion of our relationship with IMAX overseas," Warner Bros' internationaldistribution president Veronika Kwan-Rubinek said.

"We believe Happy Feetis going to be a major draw for IMAX theatres around the world next holidayseason," IMAX co-chairmen and co-chief executive officers Richard L Gelfond andBradley J Wechsler added.

"We are very encouraged bythe heavy demand we're seeing from both Hollywood studios and commercialexhibitors for films converted into spectacular IMAX 3D, and delighted tocontinue filling out next year's commercial film slate, which is beingsolidified faster and earlier than ever before."

This year has already seen Warner's specialist arm, Warner Independent Pictures, enjoy phenomenal success with the Emperor penguin documentary, March Of The Penguins, a French-made film that now ranks as the second highest grossing documentary of all time behind Fahrenheit 9/11
