David Koh has been named head of acquisitions and co-productions for Palm Pictures' theatrical and DVD/home video divisions. He will also work closely with sputnik7.com, an entertainment-based website also founded by Palm chief Chris Blackwell.
Koh was previously an acquisitions and co-production executive at WinStar/Fox Lorber where he acquired film and TV programming for WinStar's domestic and international labels. Titles acquired included Ponette, Violent Cop, La Vie De Jesus and Wintersleepers.
Previously he was a curator and film programmer of Anthology FIlm Archives, a movie theatre and film museum in New York, and also founded his own distribution label in 1997 called Arthouse.
