Lionsgate's Oscar-nominated documentary feature, Deliver Us From Evil, is to receive its international premiere at next month's Dublin International Film Festival.

Directed, written and produced by Amy Berg, Deliver Us From Evil tells the story of an Irish priest, Oliver O'Grady, whose multiple and serial sexual assaults, primarily on children, were known over a 30-year period to the Catholic church in America where he was based.

Incarcerated in the US and then deported, O'Grady has since been residing in Ireland. Berg persuaded him to participate in the making of the film and he describes what happened from his point of view. Berg also encouraged several of O'Grady's victims to finally speak out.

Berg, a two-time Emmy winner, will travel to Dublin to present her film. Stephanie Denton, president, international, Lionsgate, said: 'We are very pleased that the Dublin Film Festival will host the international premiere of Deliver Us From Evil. Given the film's vigor and fearlessness, we believe audiences in Ireland and worldwide will be captivated by this incredible story.'

Deliver Us From Evil won the International Press Academy's Satellite Award for Best Documentary and has been nominated for the Best Documentary prizes by both the Directors Guild of America and the Writers Guild of America.
