Dimension Films is developing an untitled thriller based on an
original idea about a social networking website from actress Sara Rue
and producing partner Robert Green.
Rue and Green will produce and T S Faull will write the script, which
is being kept under wraps and centres on high school students and is
said to be in the vein of Ten Little Indians.
'Online social networking is a widespread phenomenon that interests me
greatly,' The Weinstein Company co-chairman Bob Weinstein said.
'Combining it with a suspense thriller is a new and fresh way to
explore this new trend.'
'Sara and I are elated to be launching our new company with this
project,' Green said. 'We are even more thrilled to be working with a
company that understands the teen horror-thriller genre better than
any other. Their passion and track record made getting into business
with them a no-brainer.'
Rue is represented by APA, manager Alan David and attorneys Nelson
Davis, Green is represented by Rosen Feig Golland & Lunn, and T S
Faull is represented by Adam Goldworm of Industry Entertainment and
attorney Harris Hartmen of Sloan, Offer, Weber and Dern.
