Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions (SPWA) has picked up US and most of international rights on the Ethan Hawke sci-fi thriller. Arclight Films handles international sales.

Michael and Peter Spierigs wrote and will direct the story of a time-travelling agent sent to prevent future killings.

Production is set to begin in Australia in early 2013. Hawke and the filmmakers previously collaborated on Daybreakers.

SPWA brokered the deal with Arclight and WME Global’s Graham Taylor.

  • Well Go USA Entertainment has acquired from ICM all US rights to action-thriller The Courier starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Mickey Rourke, Josie Ho and Til Schweiger.
  • XLrator Media has taken North American rights to the Bigfoot horror-thriller The Lost Coast Tapes directed by Corey Grant. Matthew Shreder and James Andrew Felts of sales rep Continental Media negotiated the deal wth XLrator CEO Barry Gordon.
