Dogwoof Pictures has taken UK rights to Detlev Buck's Tough Enough (Knallhart).

The German feature is abouta 15-year-old boy (David Kross) who moves from the posh suburbs into a rough Berlin neighborhood, where he finds himself in over hishead with the criminal underworld.

The deal was struck at AFMwith sales company The Match Factory, which previously sold Esma's Secret (Grbavica) to Dogwoof.

Tough Enoughis slated for a spring 2007 release.

"We're extremely excitedabout our recent acquisition of Detlev Buck's Tough Enough, which features some wonderful performances and is afurther example of the resurgence of quality German cinema - the film has thepotential for crossover appeal in much the same manner as La Haine to which comparisons are obvious," said Dogwoof's releaseco-ordinator Oli Harbottle.
