Revelations Entertainment partners Morgan Freeman and Lori McCreary have hired former Myriad Pictures distribution chief Ann Dubinet to head their new financing arm Global Revelations.

The new venture will nurture a 'talent inspired' consortium of equity and hedge fund personnel ranging from studios and financiers to international players in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Dubinet will leverage her knowledge of the international co-production and banking arena as Revelations builds a slate of films with worldwide appeal, working closely with Revelations' Tracy Mercer on the global production strategy for the company's projects.

Revelations Entertainment will introduce its slate of project at Cannes, which are budgeted in the $20m-$75m range and are being lined up for production within the next three years.

'Lori and Morgan have tremendous taste in material and presented an opportunity that I couldn't resist,' Dubinet said. 'I look forward to working with them in bringing Revelations' projects to the global community.'

Dubinet most recently served at Myriad Pictures and prior to that she was president and chief executive officer of her own film financing entity Alchemy Filmworks Inc.

She previously headed the international division of Island/World, a production and international sales company that eventually sold to PolyGram, and served as president of international distribution for the Samuel Goldwyn Company from 1985 to 1990.

Her sales credits include Steven Soderbergh's sex, lies And videotape, Gus Van Sant's Drugstore Cowboy and The Basketball Diaries.

'We have been fortunate to grow our development and production slate over the past two years to a level that made the establishment of this division a natural progression for our company,' McCreary and Freeman said.

'Ann Dubinet is one of the most respected and knowledgeable individuals in the international film business and we are honoured to have her as part of our family'.

Revelations recently wrapped production on The Feast Of Love, which is financed by Lakeshore Entertainment, stars Freeman and Greg Kinnear and will be released through MGM later this year.

Revelations Entertainment was founded in 1996. Credits include Paramount's Along Came A Spider, Levity starring Billy Bob Thornton and Freeman, and Under Suspicion with Freeman and Gene Hackman.
