Released through Eagle Pictures, the horror sequel will bechasing down its predecessor's finishing total of $3.2m following asix-week run in autumn 2000.
Meanwhile thecomedy sequel Dumb and Dumber 2 opened third in Italy - also through Eagle Pictures - on $337,876from 199 screens over four days. Including previews it has amassed a $449,093running total.
The secondweekend of Freddy Vs Jason in Puerto Rico added $250,157 from 41 screens over four days fora $791,826 running total.
