EnjoyCinema, the UK distribution outfit set up by former HanWay executive SimonGosling earlier this year, has caught the diva bug.

Enjoyhas taken UK rights to Callas Forever, Franco Zeffirelli's biopic ofopera star Maria Callas, starring Fanny Ardant and Jeremy Irons, from Capitol.In collaboration with EMI who've licensed all of Maria Callas's music, Enjoywill be staging an outdoor screening of the film later in the summer with livemusical accompaniment later in the summer prior to a 10 screen release in theearly autumn.

Adiva of another sort features in another new title on Enjoy's slate, Elvira'sHaunted Hills, featuring Mistress of Darkness Elvira (aka CassandraPetersen). Set in 1851, this is a camp horror picture in the Roger Corman vein.Enjoy acquired the rights from Content International.

Enjoy'sthird new title is I Am David, an adaptation of the Anne Holm novelabout a young boy's epic journey across Europe at the tail-end of the SecondWorld War. The film, which stars James Caviezel (The Passion Of The Christ)and Joan Plowright, was acquired from Summit. The film, released by Lion's Gatein the US in October, will be launched in the UK in early November.

Thethree new acquisitions come as Enjoy prepares to launch its own DVD labeltogether with direct mail company, CD Selections.
