The World Premiere of Anand Surapur’s conmen drama The Fakir Of Venice and Megan Doneman’sYes Madam, Sir bookend the seventh Annual Indian Film Festival Of Los Angeles, which runs April 21-26.

There are world premieres for Joseph Mathew Varghese’s Bombay Summer, Feroz Abbas Khan’s Gandhi, My Father, Umakanth Thumrugoti’s 7 Days In Slow Motion, and Jaideep Varma’s documentary Leaving Home: The Life And Music Of Indian Ocean.

A strong contingent of female directors will present work that include
Nandita Das’s directorial debut Firaaq, Deepa Mehta’s Heaven On Earth,
Sooni Taraporevala’s Little Zizou, and Nina Paley’s animated Sita
Sings The Blues.

As previously announced the festival will pay tribute to Bollywood
legend Anil Kapoor. Other highlights are expected to include showcase
screenings of restored classics like B R Chopra’s Naya Daur.
