British films in the line-up include Ben Wheatley’s Kill List which screened earlier this year at SXSW.

The line-up for the 11th edition of horror festival FrightFest line up has been announced, with a record ten Brit titles including Ben Wheatley’s Kill List and Cristian Solimeno’s The Glass Man.

37 films from 11 countries will play at the horror festival, which opens on August 25 with the UK premiere of Troy Nixey’s Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark at the Empire Cinema, Leicester Square in London.

Brit films playing will include Susan Jacobson’s The Holding, Ian Clarke’s Guinea Pigs, Alex Chandon’s Inbred and the companion piece to The Wicker Man, The Wicker Tree.

US films include Tucker & Dale Vs Evil, zombie comedy Deadheads, Lucky McKee’s The Woman and Ti West’s The Innkeepers as well as screenings of Final Destination 5 3D and Fright Night 3D.

Meanwhile two countries to have never made a horror film before are represented this year – Switzerland’s Sennentuntschi: Curse Of The Alps and Israel’s Rabies.

FrightFest closes on August 29 with Julian Gilbey’s A Lonely Place To Die.
