George Reyes will receive Film Independent’s first Elizabeth Pena Fellowship in Project:Involve.

The Fellowship recognises an outstanding Latino film-maker participating in Film Independent’s signature diversity program, Project:Involve, and provides the winning filmmaker with a $10,000 production grant. 

Reyes is currently in post-production on La Muneca Fea (The Ugly Doll),a documentary feature about a group of elderly sex workers in Mexico City who find solace in a refuge established by one of their former colleagues.
