Foundation Films, the UK-based sales company, has closed a number of further sales of crime thriller The Crew at Cannes.

It has sold to Benelux (Paradiso Entertainment), Latin America (Imagem Filmes), Greece/Cyprus (Odeon) and Portugal (LNK Audiovisuais).

Sales had previously been done for the USA (Image Entertainment), Germany (Kinowelt), Scandinavia (Sandrew Metronome), Australia/ New Zealand (All Interactive Distribution) and Canada (Anchor Bay). The Crew was released in the UK in January by Momentum Pictures.

The story is about a respected crime boss played by Scot Williams facing betrayal from those around him during the planning of a major heist.

The film also stars Stephen Graham, who will shortly be seen playing another gangster role, Baby Face Nelson, in Michael Mann’s Public Enemies, which is released in July through Universal Pictures.

Stephen Salter of Foundation Films said: “We are very pleased with the reaction we have had to the film from buyers and the quality of distribution partners we are now working with.”
