Germany's Constantin Film has signed a multi-year production, finance and distribution deal with US producer Adam Platnick's Freestyle Pictures

Freestyle will produce films for Constantin as well as participate with Constantin in financing and distributing films to the international marketplace.

Commenting on the deal concluded with Constantin Film's subsidiary Constantin Film Internatonal, Constantin's Martin Moszkowicz said: "We are very pleased to renew our longstanding and successful relationship with Adam Platnick. This deal represents our continued commitment to expand our production capabilities in the United States."

In a statement, Platnick added: "For more than ten years, it has been my great pleasure to be business partners and friends with all the talented people at Constantin. It is very gratifying to continue that relationship as I launch Freestyle Pictures."

Prior to launching Freestyle Pictures, Platnick had served as Executive Vice President of Vestron and a co-founder of both New Regency Productions and Mandalay Pictures. He remains a principal shareholder of Mandalay.
