Samuel GoldwynFilms has acquired North American rights to Randall Miller's romantic comedy MarilynHotchkiss Ballroom Dancing & Charm School, which screened in the Premieres strand at Sundance thisyear.

Samuel Goldwyn Films plans a late summer 2005 release forthe star-laden ensemble, which tells the story of a widower's promise to find adying man's childhood sweetheart.

Robert Carlyle,Marisa Tomei, John Goodman, Mary Steenburgen, Sean Astin, Donnie Wahlberg, andDanny DeVito feature in the cast.

ShorelineEntertainment is handling worldwide sales on Marilyn Hotchkiss BallroomDancing & Charm School,which is based on a story created 15 years ago by Miller and his wife JodySavin.

Miller, Savin, Morris Ruskin, and Eileen Craft producedthe picture and Art Klein, Ronald Savin, Eduardo Castro, Carlos Gidi, KevinReidy, Lon Bender, and Jeffrey Lampert served as executive producers, withRandi Hiller and Sarah Finn serving as co-producers.

Samuel GoldwynFilms president Meyer Gottlieb and head of acquisitions Peter Goldwynnegotiated the deal with CAA and Shoreline Entertainment - which is handlingworldwide sales - for Miller and Savin.
