Kate Winslet and Edward Norton will receive 2006 Gotham Tributes at the upcoming 16th Annual Gotham Awards in New York on Nov 29.

The Gotham Awards will also honour multiple filmmakers with its first annual World Cinema Tribute. This year, the tribute will be presented to the Mexican trio of Alfonso Cuaron, Guillermo del Toro and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu.

Winslet stars in new Line's Little Children and Sony's All The King's Men. She has earned four Oscar nominations and her credits include Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, Iris, Titanic, and Heavenly Creatures.

Norton recently starred in The Illusionist and Down In The Valley and will next be seen in The Painted Veil. He has earned two Oscar nominations for American History X and Primal Fear.

Organisers have unveiled the nominees in the six competitive awards categories for ensemble cast, breakthrough actor, breakthrough director, documentary, best feature, and the Best Film Not Playing At A Theater Near You.
