Emile Hirsch and Nikki Blonsky will receive the 19th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival's (PSIFF) Rising Star Awards at the festival's annual awards gala on Jan 5, 2008.
Hirsch stars in Paramount Vantage's drama Into The Wild and recently wrapped production on Warner Bros' Speed Racer for directors Andy Wachowski and Larry Wachowski.
Hirsch was last seen in Alpha Dog and also appeared in The Lords Of Dogtown, Imaginary Heroes, and The Mudge Boy.
Newcomer Blonsky starred opposite John Travolta in New Line's hit musical Hairspray and just completed production on Harold starring Cuba Gooding Jr, Ally Sheedy and Spencer Breslin.
