Wong was formerly deputy general manager of local distributor Intercontinental Film Distributors, which handles Buena Vista product in Hong Kong. In her new role she will be responsible for Sundream's international film sales, strategy and local distribution.
She will also oversee Sundream's move into the acquisition of foreign movies for the Hong Kong market.
Established in 2005, Sundream is the movie division of local cable operator Cable TV. It has so far been involved in the production of films such as crime thriller Eye In The Sky and war epic Battle Of Wits , both of which were sold internationally by Fortissimo Films.
Upcoming projects include Pang Ho Cheung's Now Showing, which Sundream is co-producing with Beijing-based Huayi Brothers, and Johnnie To's Linger.
Otto Leong, who formerly headed up distribution for Sundream and Cable TV, will now focus on sales and distribution of TV programming for parent company i-Cable Satellite Television Ltd.
