IFP has selected the 11 narrative feature projects for the Independent Filmmaker Lab support programme set to run from June 10-13.

Narrative Lab participants will also be eligible for the Independent Filmmaker Finishing Grant, a new $50,000 annual award courtesy of an anonymous donation.

The juried award will be presented at the Independent Filmmaker Awards ceremony during IFP's Independent Film Week in September, when excerpts from each of the Lab projects will screen.

Female alumni of the Narrative Lab are also eligible for the $10,000 Adrienne Shelly Director's Grant, which was launched last year in honour of the late film-maker. This year's recipient will be announced on September 18.

The 2008 Narrative Lab projects and directors are:

At The Foot Of The Tree (Ricky Shane Reid); Good Intentions (Jim Issa); How Would You Feel' Vol. 1-7 (Terence Nance); The Mountain Thief (Gerry Balasta); Mr Sadman (Patrick Epino); Periphery (Duane Allen Humeyestewa); Sorry, Thanks (Dia Sokol); St Nick (David Lowery); A Thing As Big As The Ocean (Joseph Cashiola); We Are The Mods (E E Cassidy); and Zero Bridge (Tariq Tapa).
