The 2010 International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from June 3-5.

Bollywood icon and brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan announced the news.

The IIFAs travel each year to cross cultures and promote Indian cinema. Last year’s event was held in Macau and previous destinations have included Dubai, Amsterdam, Yorkshire, England, and Bangkok.

In addition to the so-called “Bollywood Oscars,” the related events to be held in Sri Lanka’s capital includes a business forum, fashion show and cricket match.
