UK-based finance powerhouse Ingenious Media has moved into consulting with the launch of Ingenious Consulting Network (ICN).

Ingenious has acquired Human Capital, a strategy, research and development consultancy that concentrates on media, entertainment and telecoms.

ICN said it planned to acquire other businesses offering consulting to media and entertainment businesses.

Kip Meek, a former executive board member of Ofcom and Chairman of the Broadband Stakeholders Group, head ICN.

The three advisory businesses are: Ingenious Consulting headed by Andrew Croxson, advising clients in media, entertainment and communications; Perspective, headed by Tim Suter, to advise clients on public policy and regulatory issues; and Human Capitol, still led by Simon Terrington and Tim Ewington, to concentrate on stragetic, consumer and creative decisions for a range of clients.
