AVery Long Engagement director Jean-Pierre Jeunet says he has beenapproached as a possible director for the fifth Harry Potter movie.

Askedin an interview with Empire magazine whether he had been approached,Jeunet said: "They proposed me something like this, yes."

Potter producer David Heyman told ScreenDaily.com that "nodecision had yet been made" about a director for Harry Potter And The OrderOf The Phoenix.

Heymanadded he would like to speak to a 'talented director' like Jeunet andthat he was a big fan of his work, but that he also wanted a director who waspassionate about the Potter books.

In his interview with Empire, Jeunet did not appear to be familiar with TheOrder Of The Phoenix. Asked if he would like to direct the film, he replied:"I have no idea because I wait to read the book."

Filming on the fourth film in the franchise, Harry PotterAnd The Goblet Of Fire, is currently underway with director Mike Newell atthe helm.
