Joey Monteiro has joined Bold Films in the newly created position of senior vice president of worldwide marketing.
Monteiro will report directly to president of worldwide distribution Stephanie Denton, with whom he previously worked at Lionsgate.
The new hire will oversee tomorrow’s [Sept 6] world premiere of John Stockwell’s Middle Of Nowhere starring Anton Yelchin, Eva Amurri, Willa Holland and Susan Sarandon and gets to work on a slate of Bold productions that includes Joe Dante’s supernatural thriller The Hole and thriller Jack.
In his new role he will oversee worldwide marketing and publicity, spearhead corporate strategic planning and creative campaigns and oversee international film festival and market activity, including domestic and international distributor support.
‘Joey brings both a wealth of international experience and exciting innovative ideas to his new marketing role at Bold and I am delighted to be working with him again as part of our growing international team,’ Denton said.
Monteiro arrives from Warner Bros where for the last year he served as director of international marketing and oversaw international interactive campaigns on The Dark Knight, I Am Legend and Sweeney Todd, among others.
Prior to Warner Bros Monteiro spent eight years at Lionsgate and eventually rose to become position of vice president of international marketing.
