Iris Knobloch has been appointed to the newly created position ofpresident-directeur general of Warner Bros France.

Knobloch, who has spent more than 10 years at Warner Bros and TimeWarner, rejoins Warner Bros to assume general oversight of the studio'sbusiness in France. The broad remit encompasses theatrical production anddistribution, television distribution, home video, consumer products, andonline and emerging distribution technologies.

She will work closely with Warner Bros France' business unitmanagers Francis Boespflug (theatrical), Philippe Bastard de Crisnay (homevideo), Michel LeCourt (television) and Karen Benattasse (consumer products).

Starting Jul 1, Knobloch will report through executive vicepresident of international Richard Fox to the studio's chairman and chiefexecutive officer Barry Meyer, and president and chief operating officer AlanHorn.

Knobloch most recently served as senior vice president of internationalrelations and strategic policy for Europe at Time Warner.

Before that shewas a member of Warner Home Video's European management team as vice presidentof business and legal affairs. Prior to that she was an attorney with Norr,Stiefenhofer & Lutz and O'Melveny & Myers in Munich, New York and LosAngeles.
