Santa Monica-based Lightning Entertainment has picked up international
rights from Leomax Entertainment to the recently announced thriller
Shortcut.

Ingo Vollkammer's Leomax Entertainment is financing the film and
co-producing with Adam Sandler's newly launched production label Scary
Madison.

Nicholaus Goosen will direct from a script by Scott Sandler and Dan
Hannon about two brothers who discover a strange and rarely used
shortcut in their town.

Andrew Seeley, Shannon Woodward and Dave Franco star. Vollkammer and Leomax' Scott Einbinder are producing with Scary Madison's Scott Sandler and Brian Witten, while Adam Sandler and Scary Madison's Jack Giarraputo will handle executive producer duties.

Endeavor helped package the project and shooting is scheduled to start
next month in Saskatchewan, Canada in time for Lightning to show
footage at AFM in November. Leomax' genre theatrical arm Indigomotion
will release in the US.

Lightning co-presidents Rich Goldberg and Richard Guardian and their
corporate counsel Megan Holstein negotiated the deal with Leomax's
Phiip Fier and Thomas Rubin of Reder and Feig on behalf of Leomax.
