Lionsgate has picked up worldwide rights to Adam Sachs' satirical
script Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty.

The story charts the unlikely friendship between an alcoholic
middle-aged reporter and an outspoken teenage boy who bond while
finding themselves somehow pitted against a group of fanatical
protesters.

Brooklyn Weaver of Energy Entertainment will produce along with Todd
Garner of Broken Road Productions. Sean Robins found the project for Broken Road and will produce in some capacity.

Lionsgate's vice president of production Jim Miller is overseeing the
project for the studio.

Lionsgate's executive vice president of business and legal affairs
Robert Melnik negotiated the deal with Jeff Frankel on behalf of Sachs
and Energy and Patrick Knapp for Broken Road.
