The Prix Eurimages will be handed out to the Spanish producer at the European Film Awards on December 3.
Mariela Besuievsky is to be honoured with the Prix Eurimages Co Production award at the European Film Awards in Berlin (December 3).
Besuievsky, a partner at Spanish production company Tornasol Films, has produced more than 40 films including the Oscar-winning The Secret In Their Eyes, The Last Circus and The Oxford Murders.
Her international co-productions include Francis Ford Coppola’s Tetro, Danis Tanovic’s Triage and Ken Loach’s The Wind That Shakes The Barley.
The award, which acknowledges the importance of co-productions in the European film industry, was announced at the Seville European Film Festival in Spain.
