Jonathan Glickman’s term now runs until 2017. He will continue in his current role overseeing development and production for all features and identifying co-financing opportunities with other studios.

The executive will continue to report to MGM sole chairman and CEO Gary Barber

“Jon has made tremendous strides for the motion picture group since he first joined us at MGM in early 2011,” said Barber. “With his keen eye for material and incredibly strong relationships, he has been able to build an envious slate of pictures and an exciting development pipeline for future films.”

“I am grateful to Gary for this vote of confidence which allows me to continue in a job I love at an exciting and pivotal time for the company,” said Glickman. “We will continue to build a strong slate of films for the worldwide audience and make MGM a home for both established and emerging filmmakers.”

Glickman oversaw Skyfall for MGM and supervised the adaptation of Stephen King’s Carrie and the Robocop reboot.
