The Producers Guild Of America's annual Stanley Kramer Award recognising work that 'dramatically illuminates provocative social issues' will be presented to Focus Features' drama Milk.

The film stars Sean Penn as the real-life slain gay San Francisco city official and was directed by Gus Van Sant. Josh Brolin, James Franco and Emile Hirsch also star.

Producers Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen will accept the award at the 20th Annual PGA Awards on January 24 at the Hollywood Palladium.
