The Angel Monaco International Film Festival has handed the Angel Award for best family adverture screenplay to Stormdancer, which was recently acquired by UK-based production company Pivotal Pictures.

The screenplay, written by John A. Lage and Katherine Huston , tells the story of a young disabled girl who attempts to rescue a horse who she has formed a bond with from the circus. It is being produced by Carolynne Wyper, Liz Trubridge and Richard Price of Pivotal Pictures, along with Lage and US producer Gary Hudson.
