The Works International has concluded four new distribution deals for James Marsh's documentary Man On Wire.

Diaphana has acquired distribution rights for France, Madman has taken Australia and New Zealand, Cineart will distribute in Benelux, and Arsenal in Germany and Austria. A deal is close to completion for Spain.

The news comes one day after The Works announced a North American deal with Discovery Films and Magnolia Pictures for the film.

The deals were negotiated by Joy Wong and Clare Crean of The Works International.

'After the success of Man On Wire at Sundance, we were delighted at the level of interest in the film at Berlin. All of the distributors are passionate about the film and the story, and we're looking forward to the film's release,' Wong said.

The documentary, which screened as a European premiere in the European Film Market, follows the 1974 tale of Philippe Petit, who walked the high-wire between the twin towers of New York's World Trade Center.

Man On Wire first screened at Sundance, where it won both the Jury Prize for documentary and an Audience Award.
