Warsaw-based New Europe Film Sales has sold Now, Forager: A Film About Love and Fungi to Accent Film for Australia and Imagine for Benelux.
Jason Cortlund and Julia Halperin direct the film, which has recently secured a Gotham Awards nomination. The film is currently on theatrical release in the US.
Also, New Europe has sold Rotterdam Tiger competition title It Looks Pretty From A Distance to new Munich-based distributor Eksystent Distribution for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Anka and Wilhelm Sasnal direct.
New Europe also continues to be successful with its core business in short film sales. It has taken on sales for Oscar-qualified films this year: two animations (The Game and Last Bus) and three live-action films (Frozen Stories, Superman, Spiderman or Batman and Astrid).
