Good Machine International (GMI), newly renamed Focus International, will handle worldwide sales on the forthcoming My Life Without Me, produced by the Almodovar brothers' Madrid-based El Deseo.

The Almodovars look set to continue their ongoing relationship with a redefined Good Machine following its acquisition last week by Universal Studios. GMI handled worldwide sales outside France, the UK and Benelux on Pedro Almodovar's latest film, Talk To Her (Hable Con Ella), and previously handled Latin American sales on Guillermo del Toro's The Devil's Backbone also an El Deseo co-production.

The English-language My Life stars Sarah Polley, Mark Ruffalo, Amanda Plummer, Deborah Harry and Leonor Watling. Director Isabel Coixet (Things I Never Told You) wrote the script based on a short story by Nanci Kincaid titled Pretending The Bed Is A Raft.

The $2.5m Spain-Canada co-production finished shooting in Vancouver on April 27.
