The American Film Market in Los Angeles (AFM, November 10-15) is collaborating with AMC A-List and the fan-driven B-List Movie Club to enable sales agents to present enhanced audience screenings and slate presentations at the upcoming market.
AFM is introducing what it called a “more flexible menu of screening options and enhancements, including world and market premieres, slate showcases, amplified screenings incorporating hospitality and concessions, and red-carpet moments with talent and photo opportunities”.
The screenings of select films at AMC Century City 15 opposite the Fairmont market hub in Century City echo market screenings with members of the public that have existed for some years at TIFF and are designed “to give select films the opportunity to reach an engaged community of frequent moviegoers alongside the buyers and industry professionals attending the market”.
More than 5,000 members of the Los Angeles chapter of the B-List Movie Club will get access to screenings and slate presentations from exhibitors looking for audience feedback from filmgoers.
The B-List Movie Club will work directly with filmmakers and companies to bring in select audience members during the week. Members will be able to sign up for screenings organised directly within The B-List Movie Club Discord Server.
AFM also said that more than 215 exhibitors have confirmed participation at the market including TrustNordisk, Lionsgate, AGC Studios, The Pool Films, Mister Smith, Charades, Neon, mk2, HanWay FIlms, Film Mode, Manifest, Angel, and Gaumont.
