Veteran cinematographer Phedon Papamichael is to receive the Orpheus Award for Career Achievement at next month’s Los Angeles Greek Film Festival (LAGFF).

The award will be presented by director Alexander Payne, for whom Papamichael shot Sideways, on the last day of the June 10-13 festival.

Besides Sideways, Papamichael has been the cinematographer on films including Patch Adams, The Million Dollar Hotel, Walk the Line, The Pursuit of Happyness, 3.10 To Yuma and the upcoming Knight and Day.

Papamichael’s fourth film as a director, Arcadia Lost, will screen during the festival.
