Edward Berger’s The Riders, starring Brad Pitt, Julianne Nicholson and Camille Cottin, has started shooting in Ireland for A24.
Production is taking place in the suburbs of Dublin, Wicklow, Cork and Kerry, according to local Irish reports. The film is also set to shoot across Europe, including the Greek island of Hydra.
The Riders is David Kajganich’s adaptation of Tim Winton’s novel of the same name about an Australian man who decides to buy an old farmhouse in Ireland. When his wife and daughter are due to arrive from Australia to meet him, only his daughter turns up, triggering a frantic hunt for his wife across Europe.
It is being produced by Scott Free, Berger’s Nine Hours, Pitt’s Plan B and Kajganich. A24 is financing and handling worldwide distribution of the film.
Further cast includes Coco Greenstone, Michael Smiley, Danny Huston, and Ulrich Thomsen.
