According to reports four people have been arrested in connection with the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman last weekend from a suspected heroin overdose.

It is understood that approximately 350 bags of heroin were seized during the arrests in the Chinatown district of Manhattan on February 5.

Dozens of bags believed to contain heroin were discovered by the body of 46-year-old Hoffman when he was found dead with a syringe in his arm in his Greenwich Village home on Sunday (Feb 2).

Police are looking at CCTV footage from a cash machine where the actor, accompanied by two unidentified men, withdrew a total of $1,200 in six separate transactions on the night of February 1.
