Author of A Song of Ice and Fire series that spawned Game of Thrones TV show to attend Swiss genre festival in July.

George R.R. Martin is set to attend the upcoming Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF), which runs July 4-12.

The author of the best-selling A Song of Ice and Fire series, which spawned the Game of Thrones TV show, will host a masterclass on July 10 as part of the New Worlds of Fantasy literary forum, followed by a book signing.

As part of the masterclass, Martin will share what films influence his work, as well as his relationship to cinema.

He will also take part in a conference on July 7 to discuss the transmedia dimension of his work.
