Javier Bardem and Kate Hudson will star in the romantic comedy Hello & Paris, which 193 will introduce to buyers at EFM in berlin next week.
Elizabeth Chomko will direct and write the screenplay loosely inspired by Deborah McKinlay’s novel That Part Was True. Finola Dwyer optioned the book and produces alongside Fifth Season.
Described as being in the vein of films like Sleepless In Seattle and When Harry Met Sally, the feature charts the feisty relationship between a landscape architect and a crisis-ridden bestselling novelist who meet in Paris.
They continue a transatlantic exchange over books and recipes and learn that the one thing harder than being alone might be choosing not to be.
Hudson is Oscar-nominated for her lead role in Song Sung Blue. Bardem won the supporting Oscar for No Country for Old Men, and was last seen in Apple’s Oscar-nominated 2025 hit F1.
