Action director to head Tiantan awards jury at Beijing International Film Festival.

Chinese director John Woo is to head the jury for the competition section of the fourth Beijing International Film Festival (April 16-23).

A head of the Tiantan awards jury, the Face/Off director will help select winners of 10 prizes including best film, director, actors, screenplay, cinematography, music and VFX.

Official results will be announced at the awards ceremony on the evening of April 23.

Woo, best known for A Better Tomorrow, is currently in post-production on period action drama The Crossing, set during the revolutionary period of 1949 and backed by Beijing Galloping Horse. It will be released in two parts in Asia, with the first set for release at the end of 2014.
