One Battle After Another

One Battle After Another has already shown its mettle with early victories from awards groups and maintained winning ways on Sunday when Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA) awarded the epic adventure its top honour and gave the directing prize to Paul Thomas Anderson.

Rose Byrne from If I Had Legs I’d Kick You kept her bandwagon going, sharing best lead performance with Ethan Hawke for Blue Moon. Supporting awards went to Stellan Skarsgard for Sentimental Value, and Teyana Taylor for One Battle After Another.

Kleber Mendonca Filho’s Brazilian drama The Secret Agent was named best film not in the English language, and My Undesirable Friends: Part I — Last Air In Moscow picked up another win in the documentary category.

The awards will take place on January 10 at the Biltmore Hotel.
